Comic!  I have news, also!  My favorite local comics shop, Bergen Street Comics, has picked up Slantwise!  I feel really happy, proud, and excited about this, they have an excellent selection of self-published comics as well as pretty much everything else under the sun, and I’m dang excited to have made the cut.  So, if you find yourself on Bergen and Flatbush and feel a burning desire to check out some great comics, you should stop in!  Cheers!

We’re back! Monsters is officially off the hiatus train and back on track! With some small changes, of course. As you can see from this latest update, I’m going back to the stone age and doing it all by hand, with my trusty bristol and ink again. I actually drew this one up a while ago, but so my current style has changed a bit, but I still liked this one and think its a good transition to how things are going to look for the forseeable future.

Speaking of which, I will be officially changing the schedule to updates once a week, most likely on Wednesdays, possibly sometimes late Tuesdays. Sorry! It’s the curse of working with actual ink instead of Adobe Illustrator. But, it’s a look I like better and I hope that you do too!

“But what the heck have you been doing for so long, Danny?” you ask. Welp, if you really want to know, I’ve been putting together my first-ever minicomic, “Slantwise”! It’s a little anthology I’ve put together that features such classics as “Fox Eggs” and “Time Bro,” along with a brand-new, never before seen short story, “Don’t Breathe in the Ghosts.” Have you ever held in your breath as you passed a graveyard? This is where you’ll find out why.

Sketches!  Just to prove that I’m still here and not just lazing around.  I’m getting back into hand drawn stuff!  And watercolors.  I think they look neat, and they’d be a good fit for what I want to do with this comic, and comics in general.  I’m busy working on a short, non-monsters related piece right now that I want to finish before really settling back into this guy, as well as getting together a bunch of Monsters comics before I start posting again, since doing it this way will take a little more time and I’m tired of trying to rush them out the night before.  It’s sloppy and I’m ready to not be sloppy anymore.  Anyhoo, hope you guys like this preview of the new look!
